Family Room Almost Done!

Geez is there always a dog in the room? I used a rug with a very busy print this time. It works much better!!!
The Martha chair re-covered
This time I used I nubby fabric that reminds me of a wonderful Chanel suit.
I would still like to find a large piece of art for this wall. Would the Love wall hanging from SATC work?

is any room ever really done? At least I'm getting closer. This room started back in November with..."honey all we need is a new couch". Some how its ended up a lot more then that! I'll post the rest of the room later today.

Family Room Befores...

Here are the befores of the family room. Can you imagine what the boys would say if we tried to put them in a cage to play!

Behind the couch...the only picture Icould find to show the fabric was a Christmas one. Since I'm getting old I have to take pictures of where the Christmas stuff goes to save a ton of time the next year. Like the way I cut off most of Papi in the the corner?
The curtains are way too skimpy. Beige sisal rugs didn't work out well with boys and puppies! Nor did a solid sage couch. The plant in the corner scale is way off and looks like something out of Little Shop of Horrors. Poor boys still in a cage...hope the plant doesn't get them.
really cluttered...with lots of stick legs!
Futsy fabric and the ottoman had holes in it. Polished cotton really doesn't work well with the amount of use the room gets!

First Tomato

My first tomato of the season. Sadly its about 2" big and if I don't get anymore it cost about $30.00 to grow!

white white white...

This kitchen is a little boring but the cabinets do look alot like mine...hmmm
I guess my blue walls would keep it from looking too static?

aging

Are you kidding me? Is this really how I should look in my 50's? I'm just starting to "use" botox and fillers and trying to figure out the place to not step over the line. I go into the doctor's office and all the nurses are excited...why? because the saleperson has just come thru the office with some filler for lips and of course all the nurse were done for free. No kidding I would never had guessed....doesn't everyone's lips look huge, distorted, and puffy?!? Standing in a group they looked like some kind of freak show, which of course gets me thinking about where to stop. Do I just do crows feet and frown lines or do I also do fillers around my joker smile. What about my lips just a little fill or maybe just a little more? No matter how much work you have done you'll never look younger, maybe you'll look not so tired or MAYBE you'll look like you had the money to get some work done and will look done! Yet some how I keep going back and trying to find the magic fix. I never walk out with out a bottle of some potion or lotion...no matter what the FDA says about them not working. Just look at Janice Dickinson try as she might (and she sure does try) she doesn't look anything like her youth she just looks freaky...

As The Styles Turn...

I was reading Cote De Texas' blog today and she was talking about builders thinking they can design...Our house was a spec house that we bought because it was the only thing to buy! The realtor took me to maybe five-six houses over a period of two days and at the end of day two she asked me which one I wanted to bid on! The market was so crazy I had to make a bid without my husband even seeing the house! Lucky us we won the bidding "war".
The builders were a father-son act who argued with each other endlessly and it looks like they made-up by letting each other chose a different style when and where ever they wanted. Giving us a house with a colonial brick front complete with a phony victorian glass front door
Craftsman kitchen cabinets....(geez, do you think they coulda put a few more on this wall?)
Which I'm sure you've noticed I want to paint white!
and a hokey lodgey looking fireplace that looks like they dug up rocks from
the yard to build. Our daughter is afraid its going to fall off the wall its so bad! Hmm
maybe I should shoot one of the deer that eat our flowers and mount its cute little
head over the fireplace. Just kidding they are cute so long as they stay out of my
yard.

Today's White Kitchen

MMMMM yummy, I love the touches of blue in this one. Its reminds me of the blue on my walls.
