paint the kitchen ALREADY
Last year, I thought all I need to do is.... turns out I was wrong. Since then I've been obsessing about painting the cabinets. 
First I made the mistake of watching HGTV, and deciding what a great idea ,sponge painting! Even better how about using plastic grocery bags instead of sponges. What can I tell you, not all my "I can save money " ideas work out.
About a week before Christmas and having spent the entire month before in Naples, so that I was of course hopelessly behind on doing anything for the holidays I came up with the great idea...I'll paint the kitchen walls a sky blue. Just think its maybe only two gallons of paint and a couple of hours of work. The money I'll save will be amazing. It'll be so amazing it will be like making money and not another thing will need to be done, RIGHT?
I'll get Magpie to help. I'm sure she has a ton of free time with three boys right before the holidays, right? Le Mari non working right now and he'll be thrilled too. Well maybe they aren't on board but I was able to beg, plead, and bribe them for help. Shocking how low it turns out I'm willing to go... They helped and I love the color! We got it right on the first try. I usually have to go back to the paint store three-four or more times!
